By coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery and at more than 3,100 other participating locations around the country, Wreaths Across. This year we are supporting wreaths being placed at the cemeteries below. This fund supplies much needed non-appropriated items that our Georgia veterans need and want. Through this program we honor our fallen heroes, veterans that have passed on to Post Everlasting, and we also support our Georgia Veterans at VA hospitals and clinics in the State through a donation to the Department Commanders Joint Special Project. On Saturday, December 18, members of the general public can take part in this years National Wreaths Across America Day beginning at 8 a.m. veterans, honor those who serve, and teach children the value of freedom. When a volunteer places a wreath on a veteran's grave on National Wreaths Across America Day, it is encouraged that they speak that veteran's name aloud, thank them for their service and sacrifice, and reflect on that person and their life.This is a very important and worthwhile project that the entire Legion family should be involved with.
